The Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to Jahn's Pumpkin Patch
in Cyril, Oklahoma.
Cyril is where Papa Bill lives, so
he was able to meet us there.
Grace

There were lots and lots of pumpkins!
Brilyn

And we had cool, windy fall weather
to add to our experience.
Olivia

The girls had a good time!
 They liked the animals!
Grace started feeding the sheep but then
decided she didn't like the slimey slobbery stuff
they left on her hands so she handed the food
to Olivia and let her feed them.
Olivia didn't mind the slime!
She loved feeding them.
Until the ram bit her.... then she told him
"No, no!" and fed the ewe instead.
 No-No.... Silly old ram!
 There were swings
 And pumpkins to pick up!
It looks as though Olivia found hers!

And after we all found our pumpkins we headed
back towards the car.
Grace held Papa's hand and
helped him find a pumpkin close
to the parking lot.
(Papa was smart... he didn't want to carry one up the hill)
Aren't they cute together?
Gracie and her great-grandpa...
who even dressed in his overalls for
the occasion.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Chuck E Cheese's

Our girls all love a trip to
Chuck E Cheese's.
Grace likes the games....
especially Deal or No Deal!
Olivia likes to pretend she's driving!
 Anyone want a ride?
All three girls like the rides.
 And the cotton candy!
And by the time we are finished all three
girls have blue faces and are a
complete mess!

River Bend Nature Center

On the way home from picking up the
girls we went to River Bend Nature Center
in Wichita Falls.
The girls were allowed to pet a turtle.
And they got a good close look at a
large tarantula.
We also got to see scorpions and we learned
that scorpions glow in the dark when
put under a black light.
There were salamanders, hissing cockroaches, a
rough green snake like the one we found near
our house not too long ago and a few other
critters to look at.
 And a BUTTERFLY GARDEN!
I think the Butterfly Garden was
everyone's favorite thing.
Just look at all the butterflies!
Here, Olivia is reaching for one!
And in this picture, Grace is holding
one in her hands.
The museum attendant said it was okay
to handle them.
Look! Brilyn is about to climb up to try
to catch her own!
It got away...
But, I caught up to it with my camera!

An Heirloom In The Attic

We went into the attic the other
day to look for some of Andrew's
old beanie babies so he could
give some of them to Brilyn.
And look what we found!
This was Andrew's
rocking horse.
He got it for Christmas
when he was one!
He played with it for years
and eventually, it was put
away. Now, Brilyn is
just about the right size to
enjoy it!

A New Toy

I got a few new toys for the girls to play
with at my house! This one is
a Fishe Price Castle!
It has a prince and a princess, furniture
and a horse.
Brilyn loved it!
She played with it for the longest time!
(and Brilyn normally doesn't stick with anything too long!)
I think she liked the dancing and music
feature the best!

Butterflies by the Bridge

 Remember the Bridge
from yesterday's post?
Well - by the bridge there are lots
and lots of bees and butterflies!
There are several of these bushes
and the butterflies and bees seem to be
drawn to them.
I don't know what kind of bush
it is, but it seems to attract
butterflies.
Does anyone know what it is?

A Little Bridge

While I ws visiting Grace and Olivia
we went to a little park.
It had a treehouse and a bridge.
The girls played for a little while and then
wanted to cross the bridge.
On the other side was a Mexican Restaurant!
We decided to have lunch,
and at first we wanted to have
lunch outside, but a bee decided
to swarm around our table.
He wanted to drink whatever was
in Olivia's sippy cup and sip
our sodas. So....
we went in!

But isn't this an adorable
little bridge?
And don't the girls look super
cute crossing it?

Butterflies

While waiting for a client to show up
on a location shoot, I ran accross this
little guy!
Isn't he beautiful?
I love nature.
There's just something about it
that makes my spirit marvel
at God's handiwork!
AMAZING!

Cupcakes! The cutest ever!

Grace got an easy bake cookie
kit out of the prize box and after
trying it out we used the part that adds
texture to your cookies and frosting
to make CUPCAKES!
 This is the kit.
We used it to make cookies but
it only make two at a time so
they were gobbled up pretty fast.
But our adorable cupcakes lasted
long enough to have a tea party!
We even had a few left for Grace
to take home to her Daddy!

Gymnastics

Grace has been wanting me to come
and watch her at gymnastics!
I did. And I only took my play camera
so I didn't get the greatest pictures.
But - if you look at the one above you will
see that Grace is smiling!
She really enjoys her gymnastics class!
And isn't she cute in her little
gymnastics outfit?
I think she was the best little
gymnast in her class!
And I know she was
the cutest!

A Little German Town

I went to visit Grace & Olivia
in their new home and I took what I call
"The Scenic Route"
and went through this quaint little
German Town!
 It's called Munster and it's
very interesting!
There are murals on the buildings
that look like a child sized main street.
There are also a few antique shops!
I stopped and looked around at the
Antique Mall. It's got a little
bit of everything. I'll probably
make regular stops there on my way
to and from visiting the girls.
I'd also like to take the girls to see
this little town!
But really, I didn't see much for little
girls to do. There is a pool with a few water
slides, but it's too cold for that. I'll have to
look a little further off the main path to see
if there is something they might like to do.
I did find a German Bakery!
I stopped on the way and picked up
and Apple Strudel to take with
me to share.
It was so delicious!
I stopped on the way home
to get another.
